Job summary

Raytheon Australia seeks a Senior Inventory Officer to manage lifecycle inventory across vessels, ensuring availability for Navy operations. The role supports planning, scheduling, and stock optimisation while collaborating with defence and industry teams across multiple locations including Perth, Darwin, and Cairns.

The successful candidate will have a Certificate IV in Logistics or equivalent and 5+ years in inventory management, with Defence experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Logistics, Supply Chain or Distribution or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with inventory management operations.
• Experience in Defence environment is highly regarded.
• Proficient in SAP, Maximo, EAGLE or MILIS and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Support material management planning and scheduling, including analysis and the optimisation of inventory holdings and locations for maintenance periods of different ship classes
• Meet customer requirements for both internal and external, including stock level maintenance and fleet management.
• Maintain Raytheon Australia’s export control compliance across all Material Support functions.
• Being comfortable with technology and system and logistics databases in support of program requirements.
• Working with the SPO Sourcing Team to ensure the efficient procurement and repair of inventory to maintain the established stock levels.
• Support to audit and quality assurance controls across the supply chain function to ensure compliance to policy.
• Act as the POC and support conduit for specific vessel class

Working within the Minor Vessel Capability Lifecycle Manager (MV CLCM) program the Senior Inventory Officer is accountable to the Inventory Lead to support development and proactive management of the inventory requirements across the vessel’s lifecycle – underpinning the availability of the ships to Navy.

Key Responsibilities

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Requires a Certificate IV in Logistics, Supply Chain or Distribution (or equivalent experience)

Minimum 5 years’ experience with inventory management operations.

Experience within a Defence environment highly regarded.

Computer literacy including the use of inventory management systems, e.g. SAP, Maximo, EAGLE or MILIS, Windows OS and Microsoft Office
