Job summary

Cuscal, a leader in Australian payments, seeks a Senior Integration Engineer to build and run secure, highly available integration infrastructure across development, staging and production environments. You will deploy and operate Confluent/Kafka, IBM MQ, API gateways, and cloud queue services, while enforcing platform standards and automation.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in enterprise infrastructure, strong IaC skills, and experience with Kubernetes/Docker, CI/CD, and monitoring tools.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of infrastructure or platform engineering experience in regulated or large enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with multiple core integration technologies (Confluent/Kafka, IBM MQ, IBM ACE, Sterling Integrator, Control-M, MFT, API gateways, Azure Service Bus, SQS/SNS).
• Strong infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform, Ansible, Helm).
• Strong CI/CD design and secure deployment patterns with environment promotion.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, maintain and harden core integration infrastructure.
• Translate platform standards into automated, secure, highly available environments across dev, staging and production.
• Build infrastructure-as-code and manage secure CI/CD pipelines for platform deployments.
• Strengthen reliability via high availability, DR, failover testing and capacity planning.
• Implement platform hardening, mTLS, certificate lifecycle management and secret handling with Cyber Security.
• Create monitoring dashboards, runbooks and operational handover artefacts.
