Hitech Asia Pacific seeks multiple Senior Infrastructure Engineers for a Canberra-based program focused on modernising Windows desktops and desktop packaging. The role offers flexible working arrangements and rewarding hourly rates within an initial 12‑month contract with 2 x 12‑month extensions.

Responsibilities include packaging Win32/MSIX apps, configuring Intune and Autopilot, and developing PowerShell automation while ensuring endpoint security and SOE compliance for a federal government

One of Australia’s leading Federal Government agencies is looking to engage multiple experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineers to support a major application packaging and desktop modernisation program. The successful Senior Infrastructure Engineers will be offered an initial 12-month contract with 2 x 12-month extension options, based in Canberra with flexible working arrangements available.

The successful Senior Infrastructure Engineers will play a key role in modernising Windows desktop environments, delivering application packaging and supporting the transition to modern cloud-based endpoint management using Microsoft Intune, Windows 11 and Entra ID.

The successful Senior Infrastructure Engineers will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Package and deploy Win32 and MSIX applications.
  • Configure and administer Microsoft Intune.
  • Develop PowerShell scripts for automation.
  • Support endpoint security and SOE compliance.
  • Provide Level 3 technical support.

The successful Senior Infrastructure Engineers will have experience in the following:

  • Strong experience with Intune and Windows 11.
  • Experience packaging Win32 and MSIX applications.
  • Knowledge of SCCM/MECM and Windows Autopilot.
  • Experience with Entra ID and Active Directory.
  • Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
  • Experience with endpoint security and desktop hardening.

Experience transitioning SCCM environments to modern Intune and Autopilot management, along with exposure to Windows 365 or Azure Virtual Desktop, will be highly regarded.
