Job summary

BDO Australia is seeking a Senior Consultant to join the IFRS & Corporate Reporting Advisory team. You’ll help clients solve complex accounting and reporting challenges while applying IFRS and AASB standards in real-world situations.

You’ll work with experienced advisers across diverse industries, focusing on advisory engagements, reporting improvements and sustainability-related assurance projects, developing your advisory skillset and client-facing capability.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ experience in Audit, Business Services or a similar accounting role.
• CA qualification (or close to completion).
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, including AASB 16.
• Interest in sustainability reporting (AASB S2) is welcome.
• Excellent written communication and client-facing skills.
• Advanced Excel and data handling capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with complex IFRS and financial reporting matters.
• Support finance transformation and process improvement initiatives.
• Deliver lease accounting services under AASB 16 for a portfolio of clients.
• Prepare accounting papers, position papers and client deliverables.
• Build trusted client relationships and contribute to advisory outcomes.
• Contribute to development of tools and training for the team.
