Job summary

Mediix in Rockhampton, Central Queensland, seeks a Senior Staff Specialist or Staff Specialist in Intensive Care Medicine for a fixed-term 12-month contract. The role sits in a state-of-the-art ICU with 11 beds, expandable to 14, and a strong multi-disciplinary team.

The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload across adult and paediatric patients, participate in teaching and professional development, and benefit from a competitive salary package and excellent work‑life balance.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent and eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
• Fellowship of the College of Intensive Care Medicine of Australia and New Zealand or equivalent specialist eligibility.
• Eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.

• Lead and manage a busy ICU service.
• Provide expert clinical care across adult and paediatric patients.
