Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior ICT & Security Consultant in Australia to lead the design and delivery of ICT and Security systems across multiple projects. You will coordinate with Telstra, NBN, and other providers, develop documentation and proposals, and mentor junior staff.

You will manage design tasks, prepare schedules, and ensure integration with other disciplines, while upholding professional qualifications and security clearances as required.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in ICT, Security, Communications, Networking, AV Technology, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years' experience in ICT, Electronic Security, Audio-Visual or telecommunications consulting, design or delivery.
• Minimum 6 years experience in Project Managing the delivery of ICT or Electronic Security, Audio Visual or telecommunications services.

Responsibilities

• Lead ICT and Security engineering design including drawings, calculations, and reports.
• Develop specifications and select ICT and Security systems and materials.
• Lead the development of ICT and Security systems via sketches, models, diagrams.
• Prepare project documents, client presentations and communications.
• Coordinate with other disciplines for design intent compatibility.
• Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and assist with contract admin.
• Identify technical issues early and propose corrective actions.
• Attend project coordination meetings and support cost estimating.

Senior ICT & Security Consultant - ( 260000MU )

Description

As a Senior ICT & Security Consultant with Stantec, you will have an interest in developing detailed design solutions and for the delivery of a range of exciting Information Communications Technology, Security, and Audio-Visual projects.

In this role you can expect to:

• Work as part of a local and national ICT & Security consulting team on a diverse range of projects.

• Coordinate communications provider (Telstra, NBN, etc.) requirements for the project team.

• Lead the Design and documentation of ICT and Security systems ranging from structured cabling systems, High Density Data Centre Optical fibre interconnects, core network infrastructure, Wireless Networks, IPTV, audio-visual systems, Microsoft Teams Rooms, CCTV, electronic access control, intruder alarm, intercom and Cyber Security systems.

• Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and partner with internal and external clients.

• Participate in site investigations and utilise strong report writing and verbal communication skills.

• Assist with preparing proposals and cost estimates.

• Hold and maintain relevant professional qualifications.

Essential Functions:

• Lead ICT and Security engineering design which may include engineering drawings, calculations, reports, design criteria, to support engineering projects.

• Perform calculations to analyze and design ICT and Security system components using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software.

• Lead in the evaluation and selection of ICT and Security systems and materials and the development of specifications.

• Lead the development of ICT and Security systems, through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats.

• Lead in the preparation of engineering project documents, client presentations, client contact and communication pertaining to specific project deliverables.

• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure compatibility with the design intent.

• Prepare engineering documents by developing construction specifications, plans and schedules.

• Lead in the review of shop drawings and submittals, responds to request for information, prepares site observation reports, and performs other contract administration tasks.

• Recognize when technical problems are developing and initiates appropriate corrective actions.

• Attend project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants.

• Lead in value engineering and cost estimating to support engineering projects.

• Perform other duties as assigned by senior engineering staff.

Education & Experience:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in ICT, Security, Communications, Networking, AV Technology, Engineering or a related field.

• Minimum 6 years' experience in ICT, Electronic Security, Audio-Visual or telecommunications consulting, design or delivery.

• Minimum 6 years experience in Project Managing the delivery of ICT or Electronic Security, Audio Visual or telecommunications services.

Licencing and Security Clearance Requirements:

• Applicants must hold, or be eligible to obtain a relevant state or territory Security Licence and an NV1 Australian Government Security Clearance
