Job summary

Experis Australia is seeking an experienced Senior ICT Project Manager to lead delivery of strategic technology initiatives within a large Federal Government environment. The role focuses on planning, governance, and strategic advice across a broad ICT portfolio.

You will manage budgets, forecasts, procurement and vendor negotiations while collaborating with business, finance, procurement, architecture and ICT stakeholders to achieve program outcomes in a complex environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering complex ICT projects and programs in large enterprises or government settings.
• Strong financial management experience including operating and capital budgeting, forecasting, and governance.
• Experience developing commercial strategies and participating in vendor negotiations.
• Excellent stakeholder management with ability to influence at executive levels.
• Experience providing strategic ICT advice within complex environments.
• Understanding of infrastructure planning, software licensing, and ICT operations.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, delivery, and governance of ICT projects and programs.
• Manage ICT operating and capital budgets including forecasting and reporting.
• Provide strategic sourcing, procurement, and commercial guidance for technology initiatives.
• Support vendor negotiations, renewals, and commercial strategy development.
• Conduct commercial risk assessments and mitigation planning.
• Develop project reporting, dashboards and executive-level documentation.
• Support investment planning and portfolio governance across the ICT portfolio.
• Prepare procurement documentation and support sourcing activities.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across business and ICT teams.
• Provide strategic ICT investment advice to senior leaders on costs, risks and opportunities.
• Lead program performance reporting and benefits realization tracking.
