Job summary

AngloGold Ashanti is seeking a Senior Specialist Hydrogeologist at Sunrise Dam Gold Mine, reporting to the Director Technical Services. This role develops a long-term Life of Mine water strategy, ensures supply and optimises low-salinity and process water for the plant, while aligning with statutory requirements.

Qualifications

• Significant operational experience in groundwater hydrology and hydrogeological processes.
• Experience with bore construction and development on a working mine site.
• Ability to take a Life of Mine view to business operation and optimisation.

Responsibilities

• Provide hydrogeology support to site for water supply bore fields and develop systems and site water balance models.
• Construct and deliver hydrogeology work packages including drilling, bore construction, and pump plans.
• Ensure water monitoring data is collected, interpreted and reported.
• Manage groundwater telemetry systems and report variances to plans.
