Job summary

KCB Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist to lead high‑level hydrogeology projects in Brisbane and across Australia. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver world‑class geoscience and engineering solutions, mentor staff, and drive project outcomes while maintaining strong client relationships.

The role combines technical leadership with hands‑on delivery, overseeing studies, data interpretation, and model development.

Qualifications

• 15–20+ years of hydrogeology experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience mentoring and leading a team of professionals
• Strong client relationship management and ability to develop long-term partnerships

Responsibilities

• Lead and review complex hydrogeological studies and develop management strategies.
• Provide senior technical input on dewatering, aquifer injection, contaminant hydrogeology, groundwater modelling.
• Lead or supervise analytical and numerical modelling for groundwater systems.
• Direct field programmes including drilling, aquifer testing, sampling, mapping, and contractor oversight.
• Oversee preparation of high-quality technical deliverables, reports, and proposals.
• Provide technical assurance and mentoring to junior and mid-level hydrogeologists.
• Build strong client relationships and support business development to expand projects in Queensland and Australia.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team across geoscience and engineering.
