Job summary

ACCIONA is delivering the Clean Energy Link – North program in Western Australia. The Construction Manager will lead end-to-end delivery of a major high voltage transmission project, directing engineers and supervisors, overseeing subcontractors, and ensuring safe, on-time delivery within budget.

You will manage construction methodology, risk and stakeholder engagement across the project lifecycle, building strong client relationships on site in Perth and driving quality and program targets with

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or a trade qualification in linework/industrial electrical.
• Front line leadership qualification highly desirable.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a leadership role on a major project.
• Significant experience delivering major high voltage transmission line projects.
• Strong track record leading engineering, construction and field crews.
• Experience managing high risk work activities in complex environments.
• Sound understanding of construction methodology, budget and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Set construction methodology and plans that meet budget, constructability and design requirements.
• Identify and manage design and construction risk, embedding mitigation strategies throughout delivery.
• Track quantities and costs across design and construction to protect budget accuracy.
• Develop and manage the contract program, capturing delays and assessing claims and extensions of time.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with client and key project stakeholders.
• Lead construction delivery of major transmission works.
• Manage subcontractors to meet quality and program targets.
• Track project risk and apply effective mitigation strategies.
