Victorian Institute of Teaching – Docklands VIC is seeking a Senior Adviser - Health & Regulatory Assessment to provide specialist expertise in impairment-related assessment and to support regulatory decisions about fitness to teach.

You will guide investigations, interpret clinical evidence, and shape policy development while coaching staff in best-practice approaches. The role strengthens capability within the organisation and contributes to child safety and educational standards.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in clinical mental health, impairment assessment, fitness-for-work assessment or practitioner health.
• Knowledge or experience in assessing or supporting individuals with a diagnosis of a mental health condition or substance dependency.

Aufgaben

• Provide specialist advice and support on impairment-related investigations and fitness to teach matters.
• Guide investigators in applying trauma-informed, culturally responsive and disability-aware approaches.
• Assess complex matters, identify risks, and contribute to regulatory decision-making and case triage.
• Advise on independent clinical assessments and interpret medical and expert evidence.
• Develop proportionate regulatory strategies that support child safety and appropriateteaching practice outcomes.
• Prepare high-quality reports, briefs, recommendations and correspondence on complex matters.
• Coach and support investigators and colleagues, providing quality assurance and capability development.
