Job summary

The Orchard Talent Group is seeking a Deputy Director-General, Health for the ACT Health and Community Services Directorate in Canberra. You will provide strategic leadership across a complex portfolio, advising government and building partnerships to translate policy into better services for the community.

You will lead system-wide reform, influence Ministers and stakeholders, and oversee health service strategy, governance, and financial performance.

Qualifications

Significant experience leading complex portfolios with frontline service delivery.
Ability to provide strategic, influential advice on complex policy matters to Ministers.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills across sectors.
Strong understanding of health and community service systems and governance.
Capable of leading organisational reform and sustainable improvements.
Proven record of leading diverse teams with integrity and inclusion.
Relevant tertiary qualifications.

Responsibilities

Lead health system and community services improvements with stakeholders.
Provide high-level, evidence-based advice to Ministers on policy and governance.
Partner with Canberra Health Services on health service planning and strategy.
Represent ACT in forums and oversee people, resources and finances.
