Job summary

Mediix is seeking experienced hand therapy Occupational Therapists to join our Perth private practice, focusing entirely on the hand, wrist, elbow and upper limb. You will work within a large multidisciplinary team alongside surgeons and GPs to deliver targeted care.

The role offers permanent full-time expectations with senior positions for experienced therapists and visa sponsorship for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Must be an AHPRA registered Occupational Therapist.
• Specialist hand therapy experience required.
• Confident with splinting and post-operative hand rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients recovering from trauma, surgery and repetitive strain injuries of the hand and upper limb.
• Design and fabricate custom thermoplastic splints and orthoses.
• Manage fractures, tendon and nerve injuries, post-surgical rehab, oedema, wounds and scarring.
• Prescribe exercise programs and use manual therapy, nerve gliding and neuromuscular retraining.
• Collaborate with referring surgeons, GPs and other clinicians.
• Develop treatment plans aligned with patient goals including return to work, sport and daily activities.
