Job summary

Almas Hair and Beauty in Melbourne is seeking an experienced hairdresser to help clients achieve their hair goals with cutting, colouring and styling using a full range of professional products.

You will conduct personalised hair health consultations, build lasting client relationships and stay ahead of current trends while maintaining salon hygiene and high service standards.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Hairdressing or equivalent.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience in a commercial salon environment.
• Strong skills in hair cutting, colouring, styling and chemical treatments.
• Good knowledge of hair care products and ability to provide professional client advice.
• Strong attention to detail, hygiene and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Consulting with clients and providing professional advice on hair care, beauty products, treatments and hairstyles.
• Shampooing, conditioning and providing appropriate hair and scalp treatments.
• Cutting, trimming and styling hair using scissors, clippers, razors and professional styling tools.
• Colouring, highlighting, straightening and permanently waving hair using appropriate chemical products and techniques.
• Creating and maintaining braids, dreadlocks and hair extensions.
• Shaving and trimming beards and moustaches.
• Cleaning, colouring, cutting and styling wigs and hairpieces where required.
• Maintaining high standards of salon hygiene, including cleaning work areas and sanitising tools and equipment.
• Managing client appointments, processing payments and delivering professional customer service.
• Build loyal client relationships through outstanding service.
