You will lead design projects from brief to final product, mentor staff, and ensure branding standards are applied across all assets. The role requires collaboration with stakeholders and the ability to translate complex information into clear visuals.

Qualifications

• A relevant tertiary qualification in graphic design, visual communication or a closely related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver high-quality communication products across print and digital channels, including publications, reports, presentations, infographics, campaign materials, forms and digital content.
• Manage design projects from initial brief through to production and delivery, ensuring outcomes meet audience, business and communication objectives.
• Support the day-to-day operation of the studio by providing leadership and support to the team, assisting the EL1 Graphic Design Studio Manager with workload coordination, timesheet management, team administration and other routine operational activities.
• Translate complex information into clear, engaging and accessible visual communications.
• Provide expert graphic design advice and recommendations to stakeholders across the department.
• Apply DVA and Australian Government branding requirements and quality standards across all design products.
• Manage relationships with printers, suppliers and other service providers to support successful project delivery.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring and quality assurance support to team members, contributing to capability development across the studio.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of design services, workflows, templates, tools and processes.
