Job summary

Northern Territory PHN is seeking an experienced GP to join as an onsite GP Supervisor in Katherine, NT. You will mentor registrars and early-career GPs, shaping how they grow, with opportunities for clinical work as a supernumerary GP if desired.

The role emphasises supervising across RACGP/ACRM pathways, in a collaborative team, and offers relocation support and six weeks annual leave. Expect flexible arrangements and potential contractor options.

Qualifications

• Hold current specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA)
• Hold Fellowship with RACGP or ACRRM
• Have a minimum of five years’ FTE GP experience and be eligible for accreditation as an RACGP and ACRRM supervisor
• Demonstrate awareness, sensitivity, and grasp of contemporary Aboriginal cultural and historical matters
• Recent experience as a supervisor of GP registrars or additional qualifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite supervision, mentoring and support to GP trainees across RACGP/ACRRM pathways
• Support early-career GPs and registrars to develop skills and confidence
• Potential to undertake clinical work as a supernumerary GP if desired
