DXC Medical is partnering with Galambila Aboriginal Medical Service to appoint a Senior GP Clinical Leader in Coffs Harbour. This role combines hands-on GP care with senior clinical leadership within an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation, dedicating roughly 75% to clinical duties and 25% to leadership, governance and service development.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, culturally responsive care and contribute to continuous service

Qualifications

• VR General Practitioner registration required.
• Experience in Aboriginal health or ACCHO context preferred.
• Willingness to lead while maintaining clinical practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive GP care across acute, preventive, chronic disease and ongoing patient care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across women's, men’s, child and youth health, mental health and chronic disease care.
• Mentor and support fellow GPs to build clinical capability.
• Partner with Executive Team to translate clinical insights into service improvements and priorities.
• Build partnerships with health services, hospitals, universities and community-led health organisations.

Through this partnership, we’re supporting Galambila in attracting an experienced GP who shares its commitment to culturally responsive, community-led healthcare and improving health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across the region.

The Opportunity

Are you a VR General Practitioner looking to broaden your impact while remaining actively involved in patient care? This is an opportunity to combine hands‑on general practice with clinical leadership within an established Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (ACCHO), supporting culturally responsive, community-led healthcare across the NSW Mid North Coast. With approximately 75% of your time spent providing clinical care and 25% dedicated to leadership, governance and service development, you can continue building relationships with patients while helping strengthen the quality, accessibility and delivery of healthcare across the service.

• Provide comprehensive GP care across acute presentations, preventative health, chronic disease management and ongoing patient care
• Work alongside a multidisciplinary team supporting a broad range of community health needs, including women's health, men's health, child and youth health, mental health and chronic disease care
• Help shape services for families and children, including Child and Family Health and Mums & Bubs programs
• Use your clinical experience to support safe, high-quality care and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
• Mentor and support fellow GPs, helping build clinical capability and a collaborative medical workforce
• Work with the Executive Team to turn clinical insights into practical service improvements and future priorities
• Build partnerships with regional health services, hospitals, specialists, universities and other community-led health organisations
• Contribute to initiatives that promote health equity and improve health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
• Additional opportunities also available to work as a VR GP (non-clinical lead)

The Package

• $400k-$450k estimated annual remuneration package, with an ongoing hourly guarantee of $240 and 12% employer superannuation
