About the role

The Senior Governance and Risk Officer plays a key role in supporting Sport Integrity Australia’s strategic and operational integrity. This position is responsible for managing high-level Ministerial and Parliamentary engagement, ensuring timely, accurate, and strategic communication with government stakeholders and compliance with legislative and parliamentary processes. It also assists in the coordination and continuous improvement of the agency’s governance and risk frameworks, including audit, fraud control, and policy development.

This role requires a professional with strong analytical capability, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage complex workloads across governance, risk, and government‑facing functions.

What we are looking for (selection criteria)
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and provide insightful, evidence‑based analysis to support decision‑making.
  • Proven experience in handling Ministerial and Parliamentary correspondence and facilitating high‑level government interactions.
  • Experience in developing and managing governance frameworks, including audit, fraud prevention, and risk management systems.
  • Ability to manage complex tasks, meet tight deadlines, and consistently deliver high‑quality results under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with the capacity to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and adapt to changing priorities.
