Job summary

Northrop Grumman Australia seeks an experienced Global Trade/Export Controls professional to join our Defence-focused compliance team. Based in Fortitude Valley, you will advise on governance frameworks and manage export/import requirements.

You will collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to navigate regulatory changes, drive corrective actions, and strengthen our assurance frameworks while maintaining NV1 security clearance requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience interpreting and applying legislation across complex, multi‑jurisdictional export‑control matters.
• Experience managing permits and licences end‑to‑end, including complex or sensitive applications.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide governance frameworks across export controls, including customs and freight.
• Influence how NGA manages compliance risk while enabling programmes and operations.
• Investigate complex compliance matters and drive corrective actions.
• Strengthen Global Trade policies, procedures, training and assurance frameworks.
• Monitor regulatory changes and translate requirements into practical guidance.
