Job summary

Nuage is seeking a senior GCP Architect to shape and deliver enterprise-scale cloud data platforms for major public and private sector clients. You will lead architecture, design, and governance across the full lifecycle from discovery to delivery, running stakeholder workshops and producing critical artefacts.

The role emphasizes hands-on work with BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, and Dataplex, plus security, IAM and data protection.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on GCP experience with BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Dataplex, and IAM.
• Strong data modelling, SQL, and OLAP platform design.
• Familiar with Terraform, CI/CD, and DataOps practices.
• GCP Professional Data Engineer and/or Cloud Architect certifications highly regarded.
• Baseline or NV1 clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and design for enterprise GCP data platforms from discovery through to delivery.
• Run stakeholder workshops, translating business requirements into scalable, secure, governed cloud solutions.
• Design batch and real-time data pipelines using GCP-native services.
• Implement enterprise data governance using Google Dataplex — lineage, cataloguing, metadata, data quality.
• Produce the full artefact suite: SADs, HLDs, options papers, ADRs — and present to Architecture Review Boards and Governance Committees.
• Apply GCP security controls, VPC/networking principles, IAM, and data protection standards.
