Job summary

Narrorogin Senior High School (SHS) is seeking a dedicated Senior Gardener/Handyperson to join our team. The role focuses on maintaining the school grounds, including turf areas, garden beds, shrubs and trees, to ensure a safe and inviting learning environment for students and staff.

The successful candidate will manage hazardous substances per OSH legislation, maintain SDS records, and supervise staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining school grounds or similar outdoor spaces.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate staff.
• Ability to service gardening equipment and perform minor repairs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain turf, garden beds, shrubs and trees to a safe, tidy state.
• Apply safe work practices and follow OSH guidelines, including SDS.
• Coordinate and supervise staff when required.
• Perform maintenance tasks and minor repairs on grounds/facilities equipment.
