Job summary

Delivery Centric is seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Engineer in Sydney to join our team. The role centers on Java 8/11/17+ development, Spring Boot, microservices and REST APIs within enterprise banking environments.

You will design and implement scalable solutions, build data models and pipelines, and ensure data quality and governance across multi-system integrations. Strong banking domain experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in Java 8/11/17+, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, microservices, and REST APIs.
• Experience in SQL, database design, data modelling, data engineering concepts, and data flow optimisation.
• Database experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL Server.
• Exposure to Azure, AWS, or GCP, along with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of TDD, secure coding practices, and Agile/Scrum delivery.
• Proven experience delivering technology solutions in Retail Banking, Commercial Banking, Institutional Banking, Digital Banking, Payments, Lending, Risk & Compliance, or Financial Markets.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable enterprise applications using Java and modern full-stack technologies.
• Build and maintain microservices, REST APIs, and system integrations.
• Develop responsive front-end applications using modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Design data models, data pipelines, and end-to-end data flows.
• Optimise data processing and ensure data quality, integrity, and governance.
• Collaborate with architects, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable banking solutions.
• Participate in architecture reviews, Agile ceremonies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
