Job summary

Cyient in Sydney is seeking an experienced Applications Developer with skills in shell scripting, Python and Core Java to design, develop and maintain robust software solutions. The role spans the full SDLC in a fast-paced environment.

You will contribute to automation and scripting using Perl and Bash/PowerShell, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable software. This permanent full-time position is based in Sydney.

Skills:

• Designed and built solutions in a high availability critical environment.
• Develop and monitor, infrastructure and automation of the system using Perl & Shell scripting.
• Innovate, engineer ideas and write advanced Object-Oriented Programming Perl that enhanced productivity, efficiency and uptime of the business operations.
• Use Perl DBI features to implement solutions that involve interaction with databases.
• Incorporate complex regular expressions in Perl and re module in Python while building solutions for handling large volume of files and data.
• Collaborate with other developers on the project in resolving day to day issues, adding new features, bug fixing.
• Develop and maintain technical documents at all levels.
