Job summary

Tyton Ecological Intelligence (Tyton) seeks a Senior Full Stack Developer to join the TytonIQ team. You will own frontend and backend features, APIs, and spatial data processing for ecological analytics and monitoring.

You will influence technical design decisions and work across React/TypeScript frontend and Go/C#/Python backend, with cloud infrastructure and AI-driven workflows. Office-based in Australia with a hybrid transition to Subiaco, mid next year.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in software delivery.
• Great communication skills and aptitude for leadership.
• Strong React and TypeScript frontend experience.
• Full stack with Typescript, Go, C#, or Python.
• Solid grasp of API design, scalable architecture, and cloud infrastructure.
• Real automated testing discipline.
• Experience using AI agents in development workflows.
• Background in environmental or scientific domains.
• Experience with geospatial or remote sensing data.
• Ownership of core ML systems and real-world ML at scale.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our product team focused on TytonIQ, our ecological analytics platform for condition monitoring, rehabilitation tracking, and biodiversity reporting.

It’s a role that spans frontend, backend, APIs, and spatial data, with real input into technical design decisions. This a permanent full-time role initially based in our Leederville office, with a transition to be based out of SLR Consulting’s Subiaco office, mid next year.

• Solid grasp of API design, scalable architecture, and cloud infrastructure
• Real automated testing discipline
• Genuinely curious: you enjoy learning new languages, frameworks, and tools
• Experience using AI agents in your development workflow and opinions on how to get the most out of them
• Background in/exposure to environmental or scientific domains
• Experience with geospatial or remote sensing data
• A technical role with meaningful ownership of core ML systems
• Real-world ML problems at meaningful scale

Next Steps

You'll be working on proprietary ML infrastructure applied to real ecological data, in a domain where the technical challenges and the environmental stakes are both real.
