Job summary

Intrax Consulting Group in Adelaide seeks an experienced Associate or Principal Structural Engineer to lead forensic and remedial projects and play a key leadership role in expanding the offering. You will work closely with senior leaders, conduct site inspections, prepare technical reports, and contribute to business development while mentoring engineers within the team.

The role requires 8–10+ years’ experience, a Bachelor’s in Civil/Structural Engineering, and Chartered Engineer status, with

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years’ experience within forensic or remedial engineering.
• Strong forensic investigation and technical report writing capability across residential, commercial and industrial assets.
• Previous structural design experience across building structures, including remedial and strengthening solutions.
• Experience working with insurers, legal professionals, builders, developers or asset owners.
• Exposure to tenders, proposals and business development activities, with the ability to contribute to or lead work-winning initiatives.
• Strong understanding of the National Construction Code and relevant Australian Standards.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
• Chartered Engineer status essential.

Responsibilities

• Leading complex forensic investigations and remedial engineering projects across residential, commercial and industrial structures.
• Conducting site inspections and investigations across metropolitan and regional SA.
• Preparing high-quality technical reports identifying cause of failure, extent of damage and remediation solutions.
• Developing remedial repair methodologies and rectification documentation for damaged structures.
