Job summary

Aurecon is seeking a Senior Flood Modeller to lead end-to-end flood modelling projects and provide expert advice across civil, water, environment and planning teams in Western Australia. You will mentor junior modellers, contribute to client relationships and support proposals to win work.

Ideal candidates will have extensive flood modelling experience, strong reporting skills, and familiarity with ARR guidance and Australian hydrology.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated flood modelling and risk assessment experience.
• Experience with riverine, urban and coastal flood studies where relevant.
• Ability to report modelling results clearly for non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of ARR principles and Australian hydrology context.

Responsibilities

• Lead flood modelling packages end-to-end (scope, methodology, delivery and quality).
• Support multidisciplinary projects with civil, water, environment, transport and planning teams.
• Engage directly with WA clients and stakeholders with technical advice.
• Mentor and develop junior modellers/engineers to grow team capability.
• Contribute to proposals and work winning across WA opportunities.
