Job summary

Emerald Heights is seeking a Group Fitness Instructor to teach group classes, provide personal training, and develop engaging fitness programs for residents. The role emphasizes creativity and a passion for improving residents' health and well-being.

Qualifications

• High school or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• ACSM, ACE, or NSCA certification preferred.
• At least two years’ experience in exercise programming; older adults preferred.
• Experience in personal training.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification or able to obtain within 30 days.
• Experience teaching group fitness or personal training.
• Ability to create and implement fitness programs.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Regular, dependable attendance.
• Microsoft Office knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Teaching group and individual fitness sessions.
• Identify residents who may benefit from fitness programs.
• Lead classes and maintain personal training programs.
• Collaborate with therapy staff on programs for residents.
• Maintain and report equipment status and needs.
• Provide monthly progress reports to the Fitness Program Coordinator.
