Job summary

Lucid Consulting Australia is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to join our Melbourne team and deliver high-quality fire engineering across a diverse project portfolio.

You will contribute to multidisciplinary projects, support the growth of the broader team, and work with Directors and project teams nationally to ensure safe, compliant, and innovative outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in fire protection engineering within building services.
• Strong capability across wet and dry fire systems design.
• Clear communication and stakeholder relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead fire protection design across education, health, defence, commercial and infrastructure projects.
• Deliver wet and dry fire services design from concept through construction and handover.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
• Engage with clients, building surveyors, and fire authorities to ensure compliance and best practice
• Support and mentor junior engineers and contribute to team capability and growth.
• Prepare technical documentation including reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Stay across industry developments, codes, and legislative changes.

You will work closely with Directors, Fire Services Lead and project teams nationally, bringing technical expertise and a proactive mindset to deliver safe, compliant, and innovative outcomes.

How you’ll contribute day-to-day

• Lead fire protection design across a range of projects including education, health, defence, commercial and infrastructure
