BlueRock Accounting is hiring a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant in Melbourne to join our growing Financial Reporting team. The role supports external reporting, advisory services and client engagements for for-profit, not-for-profit and foreign-controlled entities.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years’ financial reporting or external audit experience, CA/CPA qualification, and strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards. Permanent role, flexible hours.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in financial reporting and/or external audit.
• 3+ years in a Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm.
• Strong working knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Tier 1 and Tier 2 general purpose financial reports, including consolidated groups.
• Review and apply Australian Accounting Standards; prepare supporting schedules.
• Mentor and review work of junior staff; manage projects to meet lodgement deadlines.
