Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience within Financial Crime, Risk Management, Compliance, Internal Audit, Regulatory Affairs or a related discipline.
• Strong working knowledge of AML/CTF obligations and broader financial crime risk frameworks.
• Experience operating within a complex and highly regulated financial services environment.
• Proven ability to provide independent challenge, influence senior stakeholders and navigate complex risk issues.
• Strong analytical, investigation and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.
• Balance risk management outcomes with commercial and operational considerations.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent second line oversight and challenge across financial crime risk management activities.
• Review and assess the effectiveness of financial crime controls, frameworks and governance processes.
• Conduct thematic reviews, risk assessments and deep-dive oversight activities.
• Influence and challenge first line stakeholders on risk, control and compliance matters.
• Monitor financial crime incidents, emerging risks and remediation activities.
• Support critical business initiatives, regulatory change programs and strategic projects from a financial crime perspective.
• Prepare insights, reporting and recommendations for senior leadership and governance committees.
• Partner with Risk, Compliance, Legal, Operations and Business teams to strengthen the control environment.
