Job summary

Australian Piling Group, based in Bella Vista, is seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to take ownership of finance across three related businesses. You will lead a finance team of six, manage reporting, consolidation, budgeting and cash flow, and work with senior leaders on commercial decisions.

The role requires CA or CPA qualifications, strong commercial judgement and a track record in construction/industrial sectors.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualification with strong commercial judgement.
• Experience leading a finance team in multi-entity environments.
• Construction, civil, manufacturing or project-based experience required.
• Hands-on with ability to work across detail and strategy.
• Strong systems and process improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead a finance team of six.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.
• Manage group consolidation and inter-company accounting.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
• Collaborate with operations and project leaders across the business.
• Monitor project margins, profitability and working capital.
• Drive improvements in financial controls, processes and reporting.
• Support MD and Group CFO with commercial decision making.
• Develop and evolve finance systems.
