Job summary

Transgrid is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to turn complex project data into clear financial insights across the Delivery Projects Group in Sydney. You will establish robust reporting, support budgeting and forecast cycles, and provide financial commentary to project teams.

You will build models, perform scenario analyses, monitor actuals vs budgets, and help improve cost control. This max-term role is an 8-month paternity cover with flexible working options.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA/CA or equivalent.
• At least three years' senior-level experience in finance or accounting within a large, complex organisation, including business partnering in a project environment.
• Understanding of the project management lifecycle, capex/opex, and strong commercial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Deliver monthly financial reviews with project teams, analyzing actuals against budgets and forecasts.
• Build financial models and scenario analyses for projects and ad-hoc decisions.
• Support annual budgeting, business planning, FTE forecasting, job repricing, month-end, accruals and cost allocations.
• Improve reporting processes and support implementation of new systems across finance and operations.
