Job summary

Redpath Partners in Sydney seeks a high-calibre Senior Financial Accountant to own financial, management and statutory reporting across funds and management entities. You’ll manage end-to-end reporting cycles, act as escalation point for technical accounting matters, and partner with senior stakeholders to improve controls and financial performance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of accounting experience in real estate, funds or property accounting.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and end-to-end reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting across multiple entities.
• Consolidate P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting.
• Manage statutory accounts and year-end audits.
• Forecast funds, working capital and equity funding requirements.
• Handle tax, BAS and compliance reporting.
• Oversee fees and revenue reporting across acquisitions, asset management, development and leasing.
• Oversee external finance and property service providers.
• Drive finance process, systems and control improvements.

This high growth, Real Estate Investment Funds business is seeking a high-calibre Senior Financial Accountant to join its finance team and take genuine ownership of financial, management and statutory reporting across its funds and management entities.

This is not a processing role. You'll have end-to-end accountability for reporting cycles across multiple entities and mandates, act as a key escalation point for technical accounting matters, and work closely with senior stakeholders to improve processes, controls and financial performance.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of:

• Monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting across multiple entities
• Consolidated P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting
• Statutory accounts and year-end audit management
• Fund forecasting, working capital and equity funding requirements
• Tax, BAS and compliance reporting
• Fee calculations and revenue reporting across acquisitions, asset management, development and leasing
• Oversight of external finance and property service providers
• Finance process, systems and control improvements

The Person

You’ll bring 4+ years' relevant accounting experience, strong technical capability and the confidence to operate autonomously across multiple priorities.
Real estate, funds or property accounting experience is preferred, along with strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with senior management and capital partners.
