Job Description

As the Senior Finance Business Partner at Redpath, you'll lead internal and external reporting efforts, ensuring alignment with financial plans and strategic goals. You'll oversee budget processes, analyse performance metrics, and provide valuable insights to drive decision‑making and process improvements. Collaborating with Operational Management and key stakeholders, you'll guide strategic initiatives, enhance business analysis capabilities, and lead continuous improvement efforts.

Responsibilities
  • Provide modelling and cost benefit analysis to determine appropriate business strategies.
  • Analyse current operating performance including effective and proactive analysis of trends inherent in the numbers, together with sound advice to Managers.
  • Identification of efficiencies and cost savings within Redpath.
  • Establish strong relationships with site managers, identifying their needs and exceeding their expectations.
  • Assist with the preparation of detailed budgets and forecasts when necessary.
  • Support the monitoring of capital expenditure within budgets & Redpath policies and procedures.
  • Identify improvements in financial processes and systems and participate in the scoping, planning, and implementation of improvements.
  • Lead internal and external reporting efforts, ensuring alignment with financial plans and strategic goals.
  • Oversee end‑to‑end budget processes for the Operations and Corporate divisions, engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analyse performance metrics and provide insights to drive decision‑making and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with Operations Managers and key stakeholders to guide strategic initiatives.
  • Enhance business analysis capabilities and lead continuous improvement efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with reporting standards and lead annual budget and re‑forecast processes.
Qualifications
  • CA | CPA | CIMA qualified.
  • Experience with Oracle, JDE Edwards, Pronto (or similar) and various reporting tools will be advantageous.
  • Experience with creating dashboards in Power BI advantageous.
  • Solid accounting skills and experience in managing budgets, costs and resource requirements.
  • A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and business partnering roles, preferably within the mining industry.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in financial analysis, including the ability to interpret financial data, perform variance analysis, and develop financial models. Strong quantitative skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Proven ability to think strategically and translate strategic objectives into actionable plans.
  • Experience in developing and executing financial strategies to support organisational goals is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to non‑financial stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a track record of leading cross‑functional teams and driving results.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve common objectives.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify issues, analyse root causes, and develop practical solutions.
