Job summary

Bluefin Resources Pty in Sydney CBD is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to join the commercial finance team. The role focuses on delivering sales analysis, reporting, and data insights to support business decisions, with a proactive approach to automating processes and developing financial models.

The position is permanent, full-time and office-based in Sydney CBD, requiring 3–5 years FP&A experience and a degree in Finance, Commerce or Economics, with CA/CPA qualification or in progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), preferably in Finance, Commerce or Economics.
• CA/CPA (or equivalent) qualified or studying towards.
• 3-5 years experience in a similar FP&A role (budget / forecast modelling and reporting) mandatory.
• Strong analytical skills with experience collecting, organizing, and disseminating data accurately.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of all Sales related reporting, data analysis and board packs
• Assist the Head of FP&A with annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting
• Lead month end tasks on commentary reporting and reviews.
• Develop internal business reports, templates and specifications
• Provide financial and data analysis to optimise and improve the efficiency of data collection
• Lead the development of financial assumptions and calculations based on business initiatives.
• Provide support to the Commercial Finance team and other stakeholders within the business
