Job summary

nbn is seeking a Senior Field Technician in the Emerald, QLD area to deliver end-to-end service from installation to repair, maintaining high customer satisfaction. You will work within a field team, showcasing technical and people skills to connect homes and businesses with Australia's network.

The role emphasizes autonomous work, strong communication, and a customer-first approach, with pathways for coaching and career progression across a dynamic, nationwide network.

Qualifications

• ACMA licence in telecommunications, preferably with Cert 3/Cert 4.
• Current Driver's Licence.
• Ability to work autonomously and under pressure.
• Experience with copper and fibre network fault finding and installs.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain network services for homes and businesses.
• Deliver end-to-end service with timely, high-quality customer support.
• Work with a collaborative field-service team and meet deadlines.

Job Expectations Senior Field Technician Ad - Be the friendly face, confident voice and skilled hands working on the ground and in communities to bring Australians closer together each day. As a Senior Field Technician, you’ll utilise your people and technical skills to make a meaningful and lasting impact, putting smiles on our customers’ faces, bringing more possibilities to Australian homes and businesses and propelling our nation into the future.

As part of a field service team, you’ll discover a diverse and dynamic workplace where no two days are alike. In your day to day work you’ll be the backbone that keeps Australia connected, delivering end-to-end service to homes and businesses across the nation. From installation to repair and maintenance, you’ll see the impact of your work in real time with every satisfied customer. You’ll collaborate with a supportive and inclusive team, with opportunities for coaching, mentorship and career progression at every step.

A bit about you

To thrive in this role, you’ll be an autonomous and motivated self-starter, with extensive experience with copper and fibre network assurance fault finding and installs. You’ll have an appetite to embrace a complex industry while learning and developing on the job. Ideal candidates for this role will have an ACMA license preferably with a cert 3 or cert 4 in telecommunications and draw on their dedication, drive, and customer service skills to deliver service with integrity and solutions with a smile every day.
