The Field Application Engineer

The Field Application Engineer is a customer‑focused technical professional who is passionate about ensuring that all aspects of our customer experience and journey to scale are both simple and awesome. This position is based at the Myriota Head Office in Adelaide, South Australia with hybrid working arrangements.

Responsibilities
  • Become a demonstrated expert in system‑wide understanding, use and debug of the system spanning edge devices, modules, hardware integration, network systems (protocol and satellite infrastructure), cloud and data/system visualization.
  • Offer timely and effective technical support remotely and on‑site across a range of complexity.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to escalat e and resolve complex technical issues as required.
  • Support sales efforts by addressing technical questions and contributing to tailored solutions and proposals.
  • Develop, deliver and maintain customer support materials including deployment & migration guides, engineering guides such as battery estimator, API, antenna design, datasheets and support site content.
  • Deliver training sessions.
  • Conduct product installation as required.
  • Conduct rigorous testing of products in real‑world scenarios, providing feedback for ongoing product development.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field is desirable.
  • Knowledge of electronics and firmware development, ability to read schematics.
  • Field experience with installation, failure modes, and connector types.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer‑centric with a demonstrable passion for engineering.
  • Strong technical acumen with experience in coding, hardware integration and understanding of edge‑network‑cloud‑apps‑visualisation‑tooling.
  • Familiarity with sensors and their interfaces.
  • Proficiency in Linux and Windows development environments.
  • Understanding of wireless network challenges.
