Job summary

National Indigenous Times is seeking a senior leader to headline the Virginia Support Branch for Australia’s sovereign Virginia-class Submarine Support system. You will lead development, integration and delivery across sustainment, maintenance planning and execution, and industrial capability development to ensure readiness of nuclear-powered submarines.

YourRole

TheVirginiaSupportBranchHeadisanSESBand1positionprovidingstrategicleadershipforthedevelopment,integrationanddeliveryofAustralia'ssovereignVirginia-classSubmarine(VCS)Supportsystem.TheroleisaccountableforensuringthatAustralia’sfuturesovereignsupportsystemcapabilityisunderpinnedbyfit-for-purposeinfrastructure,askilledandreadyworkforce,andamaturemaintenancesystemthatsupportsthelong-termoperationofNuclear-PoweredSubmarines.

ReportingtotheHeadVirginiaDivision(HVD),youwillleadthedesignandimplementationofAustralia'ssovereignVCSsupportsystemcapabilityandprovideenterpriseleadershipacrosssustainment,maintenanceplanningandexecution,integratedlogisticssupport,waterfrontoperations,industrialcapabilitydevelopmentandsustainmenttransitionactivities.TherolewillworkcloselywithDefence,Navy,ASC,aligneddefenceindustry,AustralianGovernmentagenciesandAUKUSpartnerstoensureAustraliadevelopsanenduringandsovereignsupportsystemcapabilitycapableofultimatelytransitioningtoAustralian-ledsustainmentoperations.

As the senior support leader within Virginia Division, you will ensure the sustainment enterprise delivers against operational readiness requirements while supporting safe, secure and effective stewardship of Australia's nuclear-powered submarine capability.
