Job summary

NSW Government is seeking a Principal Project Officer Environmental Audit in Parramatta to develop and implement the EPA's Environmental Compliance and Audit Framework. This role will ensure systematic evaluation and improvement of environmental compliance and audit outcomes in line with the EPA's priorities and vision.

To succeed, you should have extensive environmental protection experience, knowledge of enforcement and audit strategies, and an accredited Lead Environmental Auditor status or

Qualifications

• Knowledge of statutory instruments under environmental legislation and policy frameworks for environmental protection.
• Extensive experience in environmental protection issues and assessment with sound technical knowledge in one or more areas of environmental protection.
• Broad knowledge of policies and strategies relating to compliance audit requirements.
• Accredited Lead Environmental Auditor, or ability to gain accreditation.
• Current C Class Australian Drivers Licence.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deliver and support the EPA's Environmental Compliance and Audit Framework to evaluate and improve environmental compliance and audit outcomes.
• Contribute to the development of strategies, policies and environmental compliance programs to assist in achieving EPA priority outcomes and corporate goals.
• Support the EPA in meeting its statutory obligations through a systematic, disciplined approach.
