CoreStaff Darwin has a Permanent Full Time opportunity for a Senior Environmental Advisor based in Darwin, Northern Territory.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) in accordance with NTG Petroleum Regulations.
  • Lead implementation and maintenance of Environmental Management Systems (EMS).
  • Conduct environmental audits, performance reviews, and regulatory reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external specialists (e.g., ecologists, heritage experts).
  • Engage with NT government departments to support regulatory outcomes.
  • Provide environmental input into contracts and manage consultant services within budget.
  • Support rehabilitation and emergency management planning.
  • Work closely with operational and technical staff across all sites.
  • Liaise with NT government agencies, landholders, contractors, and industry bodies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in Environmental Science or Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in environmental roles, preferably in petroleum or mining.
  • Strong working knowledge of NT and federal environmental legislation.
  • Proven ability to interpret legislation and deliver compliance outcomes.
  • Advanced report writing and Microsoft Office skills.
  • GIS and hydrogeology experience desirable.
