Job summary

Exclaim IT is seeking an experienced Java Developer to join a Federal Government technology team in Canberra. You will design, build and maintain scalable Java solutions, delivering modern, secure software that supports essential government operations.

You will collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver new functionality, improve existing applications and support digital transformation initiatives across the full software development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building enterprise Java applications.
• Experience across the full software development lifecycle.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring junior developers and contributing to governance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement and test enterprise Java applications in line with business requirements and standards.
• Maintain and support enterprise applications across a complex ICT environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues ensuring system stability and performance.
• Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to deliver project outcomes.
• Provide technical design documentation and stakeholder updates.
