Job summary

ADP Consulting is seeking a Senior Hydraulic Engineer in Adelaide to lead hydraulic services design across diverse, high-impact building projects. You will collaborate with clients, architects, and constructors to deliver sustainable, code‑compliant water, drainage, gas and stormwater systems from concept through construction.

You will mentor junior engineers, drive technical quality, and contribute to a forward‑thinking, multidisciplinary team culture.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in hydraulic services design within building services.
  • In-depth knowledge of Australian Standards, NCC/BCA, WSUD principles and authority requirements.
  • Ability to deliver projects independently while coordinating with electrical, mechanical, and fire protection services.

Responsibilities

  • Lead hydraulic services design on complex building projects from concept to construction.
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, builders and consultants to deliver efficient code‑compliant systems.

We are growing our Building Services team and looking for an experienced Senior Hydraulic Engineer to join us in Adelaide.

You’ll work on a diverse portfolio of high-impact projects across diverse range of sectors, playing a key role in delivering innovative hydraulic design solutions that shape the built environment.

What is your role?

You’ll lead the hydraulic services design on a range of complex building projects, contributing to the delivery of coordinated, sustainable solutions in a multidisciplinary setting. From concept through to construction, you’ll work closely with clients, architects, builders and consultants to deliver efficient and code‑compliant systems across water, drainage, gas and stormwater.

You’ll be responsible for driving technical quality, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to project delivery across a variety of sectors. This is a key leadership role that offers the opportunity to make a real impact in a collaborative and forward‑thinking environment.

About You
  • You bring 6+ years of experience in hydraulic services design within the building services sector, with a proven ability to lead medium‑to‑large scale projects.
  • You have in-depth technical knowledge of Australian Standards, NCC/BCA, WSUD principles and authority requirements.
  • You’re confident delivering projects independently, while coordinating with other services such as electrical, mechanical and fire protection.
  • You have a strong portfolio of work across sectors like commercial, healthcare, education, residential.
  • You’re passionate about sustainability and are experienced in integrating water‑saving initiatives and green building practices into your designs.
  • You’re known for your clear communication, practical problem‑solving skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • You hold a relevant tertiary qualification and are registered (or eligible for registration) as a professional engineer in SA.
