Job summary

The Department of Justice and Community Safety in Victoria seeks a Senior Engagement and Communications Officer to coordinate targeted engagement activities and support the Stolen Generations Reparations Package. You will work with the Strategic Communications Branch to deliver communications products and engagement schedules across the unit.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement experience.
• Experience working with Aboriginal communities and organisations.
• Understanding of Aboriginal society and culture and related issues.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver targeted engagement activities.
• Develop quarterly engagement schedules.
• Support effective stakeholder engagement to achieve program objectives.
• Collaborate with DJCS Strategic Communications Branch to create communications products.
• Ensure holistic engagement across recordkeeping agencies.
• Support implementation of the Stolen Generations Reparations Engagement and Communications Strategy.
