Key Responsibilities Include

  • Lead the electrical design of renewable energy projects, including solar PV, wind and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

  • Develop detailed designs for high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) systems, including protection schemes, switchgear and transformer specifications.

  • Prepare and review single-line diagrams, schematics and layout drawings.

  • Undertake system modelling, load flow studies, fault level analysis and protection coordination studies.

  • Perform detailed modelling and assessment of solar PV, battery storage and microgrid systems.

  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams from concept through to commissioning.

About You

You are a technically strong and commercially minded energy professional with proven experience delivering renewable energy and power systems projects. You enjoy working collaboratively with clients and multidisciplinary teams and are motivated by the opportunity to contribute to Australia's energy transition.

You will bring:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, with a major in Power Engineering.

  • Strong knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, including AS/NZS 3000, 2067, 4777 and 5033.

  • Experience navigating DNSP requirements, technical rules and grid connection processes for inverter-based energy systems.

  • An understanding of power system studies, including system strength, inertia and stability assessments.

  • Excellent consulting, stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to balance technical excellence, risk management and project outcomes.

  • A collaborative mindset, attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
