Job summary

No.1 Fertility in East Melbourne is seeking an experienced Senior Embryologist to lead and elevate our IVF laboratory services. You’ll combine scientific rigor with hands-on leadership to deliver outstanding patient care and pioneering embryology practice.

You’ll mentor staff, embrace emerging technologies such as time-lapse culture and PIEZO-ICSI, and collaborate with the clinical team to improve outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee routine clinical procedures to consistently high standards.
• Mentor, train and support embryologists, building a strong team.
• Expand expertise through training in emerging technologies (time-lapse culture, polarized light microscopy, PIEZO-ICSI, AI-assisted assessment).
• Connect directly with patients through results communication, education and consultations.
• Contribute to laboratory protocols, KPIs, clinical outcomes and continuous improvement.
• Take ownership of laboratory portfolios and projects with autonomy to influence evolution.
• Evaluate, validate and implement new technologies.
• Support quality assurance, laboratory safety and regulatory compliance.
