Job summary

Our client, a national leader in electrical design, manufacture and installation, seeks a Senior Electrical Estimator to join their East Coast manufacturing network in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne. You will bring a proven track record estimating MV/LV switchboards, switchrooms and power distribution systems.

Collaborating with engineering, design and production teams, you will identify opportunities, review drawings and tender documents, build detailed cost estimates, and help shape bids and

Qualifications

• 5 years as an electrical estimator in electrical or switchboard industry.
• Trade qualification or degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Experience pricing MV/LV switchboards, switchrooms or related equipment.
• Industrial sector experience highly regarded.
• Proficiency with estimating software (WinEst/CostX/Espro) and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Identify new project opportunities and manage bid pipeline.
• Review tender docs, drawings and specs to define scope.
• Create detailed, competitive cost estimates from tender data and historical pricing.
• Develop bid strategies and prepare tender submissions with board summaries and schedules.
• Collaborate with engineering, production and project teams for design and handover after award.
• Build relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors for pricing and scope confirmation.
• Provide early risk reports and maintain historical bid records to improve processes.
