Job summary

WearOptimo Pty Ltd seeks an experienced Senior/Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the design of electrical and electronic systems for Microwearable devices, with a focus on bioimpedance measurement.

You will own analog/mixed-signal design, PCB development, and integration with microelectrode sensors from concept through verification into manufacture, while guiding peers and ensuring compliance with safety and EMC standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical, Electronic, or Biomedical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' industry experience in electrical and electronic hardware design, taking designs from concept through verification to production.
• Hands-on expertise in analog and mixed-signal circuit design, low-noise signal conditioning, and multilayer PCB design.

Responsibilities

• Develop bioimpedance measurement systems for Microwearable devices using integrated bioimpedance AFEs.
• Implement and optimize analog front ends for wearable designs to achieve low power, high accuracy performance.
• Own schematic capture and PCB design for compact wearables, including RF circuitry and antenna design.
• Support safety, EMC, and regulatory standards; assist pre-compliance testing and production test circuitry.
• Plan and deliver electrical work packages with accurate estimates and progress to leadership.
• Collaborate with Embedded Systems and AI teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Develop test plans, fixtures, and automated tests; verify electrical performance and sensor characterisation.
• Maintain traceable design files, test reports, and documentation for handover to manufacturing.
• Coordinate with vendors and test labs to support delivery and manufacturing readiness.
