Job summary

Clough Limited in Perth is seeking a highly motivated Senior Electrical Engineer with extensive Detailed Design experience to join the Inhouse Engineering team. The role reports to the Chief Electrical Engineer and provides electrical design support to Oil & Gas projects.

You will review and approve work, liaise with disciplines, clients, and vendors; contribute to power distribution, hazardous area classifications, and electrical equipment selections.

Qualifications

• Senior role experience in energy, mining or utilities.
• Extensive Detailed Design experience.
• Exposure to EPC Lump Sum and reimbursable projects.
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team.
• Hazardous area knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and approving the work from other engineers.
• Liaising with other disciplines and the Client's engineering personnel.
• Liaising with Vendors and other project functions.
• Supporting LV/HV distribution design and equipment selection.
• Assurance of electrical design compliance for hazardous areas.

Clough currently has an opportunity for highly motivated Senior Electrical Engineer with an extensive background inDetailed Design to join the Perth Inhouse Engineering team. Reporting to the Chief Electrical Engineer, this role is required to provide electrical engineering design support to Oil & Gas projects.

Your focus will include:

• Reviewing and approving the work from other engineers
• Liaising with other disciplines
• Liaising with the Client and their engineering personnel
• Liaising with Vendors
• Liaising with other project functions

You will have knowledge in the following essential areas:

• HV Distribution and Switchboard design for power generation and power distribution systems on facilities
• LV Switchgear/MCC design for power distribution systems
• Transformer sizing, selection and specification for power distribution systems
• LV electrical motors and Electrical drives
• Packaged equipment
• Earthing and lightning protection design
• Classification of hazardous areas and design/selection of equipment for hazardous area use

What you will bring to the team:

• Proven experience in a Senior role within the energy, mining and or utilities market sectors.
• Extensive experience in Detailed Design
• Exposure to EPC type lump sum and reimbursable projects
• Your ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team will ensure your success in this role
• Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering
• Hazardous area knowledge and competency is preferred
