Job summary

Queensland Government in Rockhampton is seeking a senior sonographer to deliver independent transthoracic and stress echocardiography, taking clinical leadership for Echocardiography and influencing governance, protocols and safety. The role spans complex cardiac investigations and supervision within the Cardiac Investigations team.

Qualifications

• Qualification from a registered tertiary institution in a relevant science/applied science.
• Registration or eligibility for registration with ASAR is mandatory.
• Experience leading change and driving quality and service improvements in a multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver independent transthoracic and stress echocardiography.
• Take clinical lead for Echocardiography and influence governance and safety.
• Apply advanced clinical judgement across a complex caseload and assist with other cardiac investigations.
• Lead supervision, education, training and professional development within the Cardiac Investigations team.
• Lead research, quality improvement and service development initiatives across Rockhampton Hospital and CQ Health.
