Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking an experienced Sr Field Supervisor to join an active exploration drilling programme in Queensland. This site-based role oversees RC and Diamond Drilling activities, ensuring safety, efficiency and adherence to technical standards.

You will manage multiple drilling crews and contractors on a 15/13 roster, providing strong field leadership across the programme and maintaining high safety and QA/QC standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in drilling/mining.
• 5+ years in a Drilling/Field Supervisor role.
• Experience supervising RC and DD drilling programmes.
• Experience managing multiple rigs and field teams.
• Strong understanding of drilling operations, QA/QC.
• Experience managing drilling contractors and subcontractors.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to lead teams in a remote site environment.
• Current C-Class Driver's Licence.
• Current First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day RC and DD drilling activities across site.
• Coordinate and oversee multiple drilling rigs and field crews.
• Provide strong field leadership to drilling contractors and site personnel.
• Ensure drilling activities meet HSE requirements and standards.
• Monitor progress, metres drilled, and productivity.
• Oversee sample collection, handling, QA/QC processes.
• Maintain accurate daily reporting of drilling progress.
• Assist planning and coordination of upcoming activities.
• Ensure equipment, personnel and contractors operate safely and efficiently.
• Promote a strong safety culture across all drilling activities.
